Bonfire of the Vanities

this was a really good book and a really bad movie. tom was totally wrong for this part. it called for a really arrogant and square jawed aristocratic type that tom could just not carry off. loudmouth melanie griffith was also in this.

speaking of melanie griffith, anyone see her lately? her face is frozen in time with her scary plastic surgery. she still has that little girl voice though.

it is not the end of the world to look a little older. i keep seeing 80s babes like demi moore and meg ryan and melanie griffith all pulled and injected. it doesn't make them look younger, just different. all their softness is gone.

Ryan
Gump
Philadelphia
Castaway-I actauuly laughed often during this one as each of his plans went awry,
reminded me of a great flick,
"Hell in the Pacific",in which Lee Marvin as a US pilot and a japanese soldier are stranded on an island in WWII
they fight a hilarious private war before they realize how silly and fruitless this is and then team up to get off the deserted island
