The smart ones are correct, the hayflick limit on cell division is a nonhormonal longevity limiter. Plus, Hgh hasn't really been shown to lengthen life, from what I've read. It's main benefit is quality of life. Kinda like in Brave New World: Strong and healthy until 60 or 70, then out like a light. Not that I think it's a bad idea, unless I could get a cool cybernetic body with my brain in a bowl of colored fluid I wouldn't want to live 120 years connected to machines and unable to move, sense, or communicate.
 
I'm only 22 years old, I was just checking out the board in the hopes of finding info that my dad might find interesting. I though I might tell him about the board. Again, I am young. But, to me the most important thing is to stay active. That is how you maintain independance and quality of life, which will in turn make you a happier more stress-free person. That will keep you feeling young and productive, which to me equals happiness. I see these older people at the gym working out and they are so much different in attitude and appearance than the people of the same age that don't stay active. They have this exuberance and zest for life. They don't seem to age mentally, they stay sharp. Just a young person's opinion.

its best to increase your ability to think and problem solve.
then invest as much time and energy to it as you do to any other sucessfull part of your life

So

a, take suppliments that are good for memory speed of thought calculation comprehension etc.. if you get a 5% increase in generalised applicable intelligence per year that may be all the advantage you need.

If you want to live longer, just do everything less. Eat less, breathe less, lower your resting heart rate, etc...

Everything shows signs of wear and tear after a while, your body is no different. If you use it less, it will last longer. That's my theory anyways, I don't follow it though, cuz I'm more about quality than quantity.
 
my recommndatio would be to sleep 7-8 hrs a day regardless hehe.......cause less and more showed higher rates of death haha......anyone else coem across that??/
