How long do you think people should serve "actual" jail time for the following offenses.

Armed robbery - I think 10 years
Burgurly - 3 years
Drugs (personal use) none just sent to rehab.
Dealer - 2 years
Rape -25 years
murder - 30 years unless wife is killed for cheating on husband then just 1 year
tax evasion - 6 months
car theft - 2 years

Now these are all first offenses second times go ahead 1.5 times original three times caught doubles it.

What about ya'll? What would you set the jail time at?

Armed robbery - 4 years
Burgurly - 3 years
Drugs - hard to say
Dealer - hard to say
Rape - 35 years
murder - 65 years
tax evasion - none - just be forced to pay what you owe
car theft - 1 year

Armed Robbery - 1 year per $50,000 in value of theft
Burglery - 1 year per $100,000 in value in theft
Drugs - None should be legal
Dealer - let the man open a store already!
Rape - Cut of the offending Penis.
Murder - Life with Curling
Tax Evasion - Just pay owed amt.
Car Theft - Steal a McClairen F1 - 15 Years
Car Theft - Steal a 1982 Yugo Get a cupon for Wendy's
The Sliding Scale of Car theft penalties.

It's interesting that you want no jail time for drug users, and 2 years for drug dealers.

Armed robbery - 5 years
Burgurly - probation
burgulary with violence- 5 years
Drugs - slap hand, tell them they are naughty
Dealer - slap on the hand. unless it is to children. Then it owuld be a serious beating.
Rape - if proven without a doubt(possiblilty of the bitch lying is ruled out) torture. lots of it. then death
murder - depends. if unprovoked, torture
tax evasion - pay what you owe. then get pimp slapped
car theft- probation. second offense, 2 years

Because I think the dealers are profiting off somebodies weakness so they deserve it. Plus they step on the stuff and they never meet you when they say they will. :D

Armed robbery - 5 to 10.
Burgurly - 5 years and a course in remedial English
Drugs (personal use) - Rehab first offense, then jail time for subsquent offenses
Dealer - Depending on the amound and customer. Average joe not much. Dealing to kids. Severe penalty
Rape - Life or Death
murder - Life or Death
tax evasion - Slap on the wrist and the statement "nice try..."
car theft - 6 months and some job training.

the thing is dealers are also tax evaders..I don't mind the dealing so much(as i believe there are many substances that should be legally avaliable to adults),but the tax evasion bothers me..for the most part the average citizen has to pay a proportion of their income to the govt, while the dealers get to keep all thier proceeds

LMAO..

If you consider that a small percentage of the smaller crimes are prosecuted, and or the "criminals" are even found, this would seem to ENCOURAGE these people to do more....

Seems like a good business plan.

Initial Capital: none
Skills/Training: none
other expenses: none
risk: none if you are smart, very small even if you get caught...

Should be a great Black Market for laptops, "normal" automobiles, farm equipment, jewelry, electronics, etc...anything under $100k, unless you intend to hold people up at gunpoint, then it would be under $50k.
