You leave a store and look at your receipt

Here's my thoughts on that: Obviously, the honest thing would be to either go right back in, and take care of it with the cashier, unless it's something like they overlooked a can of peas in a $300 grocery order. In a case like that, it's probably going to create more hassle than the 49 cent loss to the store. And by nature, you probably can balance it out by thinking how last week, they put too much ice and not enough drink at a restaurant, and you didn't complain.

But there is a CURVE BALL pitched here!!! Let's say you had a $5 item that didn't get on the bill, and you're already out of the store, or maybe even didn't figure it out 'til you got home. Should you call the store and tell them you'll take care of it next time, in order to clear your conscience? People who know me on here, probably think that's what I'd say. But no! What if you do that, and the store manager fires the cashier for being careless? Probably the cashier has to balance the drawer with his/her own money at the end of their shift, but which is worse; losing $5, or being fired (or maybe not fired but still getting a blem on your employee file)? My answer here, is to try to tell the same cashier if you can find them, even if it's a week later. If you can't find the same cashier, or if you do find them and they say "no worries; it's yours", then just drop $5 in a charity jar, and karma should be all OK.

Example today... Wal-mart went in for a few things. Got back to my truck and look at the receipt. They didn't charge me for 2 cases of water and laundry detergent a total of 23$. Unloaded my kids and went back in and paid. Now countless times I've gotten home and didn't have all what I bought. All I can say is they are lucky I didn't make it all the way back home.

excellent...now do the right thing and pm me some boobie pics, m'kay??

I've walked into the gas station and given them 3 cents because they had a malfunctioning pump that didn't stop at the $20.00, for which I paid.
