One Child Dead, One Wounded In Playground Shooting
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- Authorities are investigating the death of a boy who was shot Wednesday night while he played basketball with his brother and other children.
Police said Anthony Ramirez, 11, and his brother were shot at a playground at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School. They were playing basketball with about 12 other children.
Investigators said two men approached the boys and asked, "Where you from?"
"When they responded, 'We're not from anywhere,' he began firing rounds into the crowd," said Lt. Mark Garcia of the San Bernardino Police Department.
