you ever throw away pennies?

The stamp machine at my corner post office takes pennies, so I save all my pennies, and pick up pennies, for my monthly bill-paying day.

I always look when i walk, i'll snatch up a penny in a sec. Quarters don't hurt either.
Once i found a 24 carat gold ring someone had dropped--it pays to look for pennies.

I find a lot of change. That's the only advantage to being a shoe-gazing depressive introvert. :D That, and working in a bar...

"Pick up the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves." Or something to that affect. I usually frog march my son up and down the streets in town and make him pick up the pennies for me. I stay at a distance of course, just close enough so that he is constantly aware of my authorita.

My Dad really used to do something similar to that.

When I lived in Atlanta, I save my pennies for 6 years.
When I was ready to move back to FL, I had 3, 5 gallon water bottles FILLED with nothing but pennies. I had to make an appointment at the bank at the slowest time to cash them in. (A Wednesday afternoon at 2pm). I had to get a dolly to move the bottles and my friend and I used his truck to transport them.We barely got them into the truck. We had to get 2 other guys from the bank to help lift these things when we got there.

I think the amount I had deposited into my account was close to $1,000.

Wow, that's a heck of a lot of pennies!!

I save them too & the coffee at Wawa is $1.09 so I give them a buck + 9 pennies.....

I once found $10....actually found 2 $10 bills....
