Which is the better system?
I heard that XBOX has the better graphics but the sports games for PS2 have better graphics than the XBOX. Is the XBOX really better than the PS2?

I Have both XBOX does have way better graphics then the PS2, but it cannot compare to the games that PS2 has. Plus for the fact that you can play PS1 games on it. PS2 is the shit!

I agree with you fellas about PC games being good and all, but I perfer Xbox for two reasons:

1. A 17 inch monitor or a 57" widescreen TV? - a no brainer there.

2. I can lay my fat ass on the couch and play.

I 1000% agree with point #2. That is, without a doubt, the best thing about consoles.

Point 1 tho... a 57" widescreen with a resolution of what.. 800x600 at best?
That does not campare to the graphic glory of a 17" screen at 1280x1060 (or whatever the reso is).

Heh. I was going to post that as well, but it just usually leads to flame wars. Heh....again.

Consoles only have a res of 480x640. It doesn't matter what tv you play it on.

My vid card has an s-video tv-out, which therefore, enables me to play on my televsion as well. Still, if the tv isn't plasma, the picture will be better on the computer monitor by far.

BTW. I just spent the last 2 hours playing Homeworld 2 and Jedi Academy.

Homeworld 2 is TOUGH, but the graphics are friggen beautiful.

When I was comparing my 57" tv to the 17" monitor, I was referring to the size, not the resolution.

heh heh. Actually with the Monstercable High Definition Component Adapter and developers currently making games in 480p, 720p(1280X720), & 1080i(1920X1080), the games are looking crystal clear.

I've seen those numbers (720p & 1080i) before, but didnt know what reso they were.

That is great resolution, however there are only a few games made for 720p and even fewer for 1080i. These will change in the near future however - just a matter of time.

Most all my games are 480i (Halo for example). I bought dungeons & dragons heros for xbox (no I'm not a geek) and it is in 480p (progressive scan) and some of the cut scenes look incredibly real, so I can only imagine playing the better resolution games.

Yes, my tv is a HDTV Monitor.

I'm not sure. I have seen where Halo2 is going to be at 720p, but again I'm not for certain.

Say, NQQ, did you ever get your HD working on your xbox? My friend (the one I told you have High Definition) came in for a visit and he doesn't have the HDTV setup on his xbox either like he thought he did. He even bought the HD pack from Microsoft. He kept getting the same screen as you did - the one with the widescreen option.

also, dont laugh but, the first buffy the vampire slayer game for the xbox is really good too.
