xbox 360 and high def tv's

is it worth the money? i know i cant shell out 6 -700 for ps3... EVER. but is the xbox worth it now?

also, how big a difference does the high def tv make? i have a regular projection now... bigger is better in my opinion.

I play my 360 on my 52" sony HD.

Looks and sounds awesome. worth it!

HDTV will be in every home withih the next ten years. Might as well start now. As for the pic quality ....can't say but I'd bet it's better

we have 3 360s in my apartment, one day we got bored and hooked one up to HD and one to a regular tv and there was a huge difference. In BF:MC it was very hard to see the opponents on the regular screen and you could really tell the HD from the regular ....

xbox w/o hd is called normal xbox. u won't even notice a diff really.

since scanning lines and pixils are eliminated the detail and clarity are superb, plus the color is much more vibrant.Esp on the flat screen plasmas

HD/plasma=none


Analog/dig=color variations a couple of hunderd
Plasma HD=16.5 million

that's like asking where can find discount gas.

the price of hdtv's are pretty universal. each brand is pretty much the same price where u shop. Hard to shop online. You just gotta figure out what size, and what brand to get, and what type (plasma, lcd)

The thing about high def is you will notice a big difference right away and then gradually you'll get used to it like anything else, when you'll simply "expect" it to look that good. I got component cables for my Xbox and noticed the difference bigtime from the standard video cables. Now I can still tell it looks good, but in order to remember how much better, you'd have to go back to the old stuff, then switch to higher res. again. It's this way for everything. I can tell the graphics are much more technical in some games on the 360 even on a normal low res tv screen. The high res just clears things up to add more detail. You'll get used to it though and be complaining soon enough that the graphics suck. It's like a guy who's bored with the performance of his newest sports car because he's already stopped bothering to think of how much worse it was to be driving that old hatchback.
Hell I bet even if hdtv with Xbox 360 hookup could suck the user's dick they'd eventually complain it's not doing it good enough.

well, i dont have HD and wont until fall... and heck, i probably wont even have it in the LR, just the bedroom (football is better when it's bigger)... so, i'm going to have to "suffer" with it how it is...

i do have the dvd cable input for my projection tv, but honestly, how big a difference would that make?
