WTF!!!?? Prolactin up?!!

I just got back my blood results. And my prolactin is fucking 12.2. The range for males 1.2-17. My prolactin always came out between .5-2.1

But never ever this high! The only new things I have added in the past few days were HCG and AIFM. Could either one of these have done it?

HCG directly stimulates lactotrophs. as far as libido, prolactin studies are not conclusive. its certainly seen as inhibitory, though perhaps the initial spike in combination with estrogen release and thyroid stimulation has a libido enhancing effect.

libido is only partly understood, and the interaction of these hormones is not cookie cutter. example, some people on nandrolone get a sky high libido, most dont and many have libido suppression.

I agree with you on the last part. I do get a super rise in libido while using nandrolones. But only in the very beginning. First couple of weeks. Then it just goes bye-bye!

So Macro...for sure its the HCG??? I mean if it is...I won't sweat it. I'm only going to take one more shot and then I'm done for a few weeks. I hope its not the AIFM.

AI's have virtually no effect on prolactin nor does DHEA.

Take it easy Carth. It's just a false reading because you're using HCG. As soon as you stop it'll go back to your normal range.

Could also be because of 2 things I forgot to mention that I have been taking lately. Yohimbine and Xanax ( to sleep ). Doing some research and it does say that xanax may increase prolactin in some. And about the Yohimbine....well. The words are too complicated for me to understand. But I think some sites do say that it increases prolactin.

It might have some effect. But that HCG is what's blowing those readings up. It's like taking a reading of your free test mid-cycle. The numbers are garbage.

Yeah but Ulter..then again. Seriously, what does HCG have to do with it? Really? Even when I was taking HCG at 250ius 2x a week. And even at 500ius 2x a week. I had my prolactin checked out and the shit came out to 1.2.

Now its fucking 12!!! I'm thinking now it might be the Xanax. But like I said...now I'm reading in some sites that Yohimbine might raise prolactin as well.

Found this...Does it say what I think it says? That Yohimbine raises prolactin? And that the sleeping drug found in Unisom and Benedryl ( Diphenhydramine ) also raises prolactin?
