WTF is this search it now .co

Whats with this Search it now . com.....There have been many times I've already had a web address typed in and instead of the site coming up this damn SEARCH IT NOW comes up. If anyone can shed any lite on this please do. I mean I had a site I really wanted to get to and this kept showing up......pissed me off big time.........Its not a help to me if its sopposed to be?

Sounds like you have some adware or spyware on your computer. Searchitnow, mysearch, attempt to hijack your web browser so you can use them for a search engine instead of normally using whatever you want. Download adaware from download.com and run it to get rid of all the spyware/adware from your computer

go there and download spybot search and destroy. Run the check and when it finishes click "Fix the Selected Problems" and then click the immunize button. It will remove the spyware and block future installations.

In fact, EVERYBODY on this board should do this. I bet each of you $100 that you have spyware running on your computer that you don't know about. Run the software and see... I guarantee you that you will be surprised.

How would I have gotten this or did someone in my household do this?.........This is new to me.

Most of it gets installed when you install third party software such as Kazaa, morpheus, bearshare, iMesh, etc. File sharing apps are notorius for installing unwanted spyware. Most of it is mainly targeted at advertising but I sure as hell don't want anyone tracking where I've been on the net for any reason.
