I'm afraid it's gonna be Elton John. He made that cheesy song about Princess Diana and before that about Marilyn Monroe. I bet he's just gonna change the words so they match with WTC..
But even Elton John would be better than R. Kelly, Whitney or Puff Daddy
Good call! Also it's possible that artists all over the world will make a tribute single and all the profits will be donated to the families of the victims who died on that horrible day.
Well I'm sure whoever comes out with the tribute will donate all the proceeds to the victims/etc… But, they gain a lot of PR from doing so. Which in the long run means more $$$ for them.
As it happens I heard Chad Taylor of Live call in to K-rock yesterday. After the call was over the station played their song "Overcome" from the album that's coming out. I remembered "Lightning Crashes" was played after the Oklahoma City bombing.
u2 has a song called stuck in a moment and they added voice things from nyc like ppl crying and new reporters in it,made me break down,i have yet to find the remix of it on any music prog yet but thats the one
