WSB - and the Repetition Method

questions............. on using the repitition method while using wsb training. every so often you switch your 1 rep max movements on upper bodies to 3 sets of 20 db press on a bench or ball. like for 6 weeks i'll go to 1 rep max's, then weeks 7/8/and 9 i will do 3 sets of 20 on db bench.

But what about the legs?????......... how come you dont switch to 3 sets of 20 reps for a leg movement??? like for example the best one i can think of is dimmel deads. sets of 20 are usually recomended for this exericse. so how come we dont use that aspect of the repetition method for the legs as well???

im just curious to see what everyone thinks??

I am sure you can if you want......my lower body doesn't seem to feel as beat up as my upper so I feel I can go heavy more often and make good progress. Every month or so I have a lower body workout that is mainly high rep, odd lifts, and explosive endurance type training.

well probably becuase of using so much of the same type of exercise in the bench plane. but i just thought it might be a good change and switch to try the rep method with legs.... do you think it would work the same way??

Why not? I would try doing 20 rep free squats, some walking lunges, even 20 rep leg press.....Sometimes I do sets for time and not reps, for example gm's with a light band and 135 on the bar, I go for 90 seconds and see how many I can do. I am sure you could turn any lift into something like this. It seems to work me harder if I don't have a set stop point....

yeah i knew about going for time. that makes a lot of sense.
