Wow...Power bars really suck...

So I had an old power bar in my desk, so I decide to take a look at the label...

!st and largest ingredient? HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP!!! 20g of sugar in a 230 calorie bar. That is 80/230 calories, or 34% sugar for the math challenged.

What else is in them? oat bran, maltodextrin, milk and soy protein isolate. for a whopping 9g of protein, or 45/230 calories. You would get more from a handful of sunflower seeds.

What a fucking joke. These things are sold as "healthy." You would be better off with a snickers.

i think these are primarily designed for athleats who need some energy to burn, i know i liked to have a powerbar when i could before track meets as a sprinter a little sugar is ur not used to it will give u a good buzz and some fule to run on, if ur gonna compete hard they dont matter cayse ur gonna burn it all anyways. not really a bodybuilders food of choice
 
Made for endurance athletes/sports for a quick source of glucose to fuel them through their sport. But def not a bodybuilder's friend.

LMAO. Snickers owns. Personally, Pure Protein tastes the best, but I like Detour by Designer Whey for good nutrition. Pure Protein Bluberry Cheescake is fkn tasty.
 
Well, I wouldn't even recommend those for endurance athletes... unless you eat one after the other, since the spike you get from that much fructose will give you a high, only to be followed by an even worse down...
