Man Crazier,
You're talking about the great White Throne Judgment. And I am not looking forward to that. I am not going to like what I see it being in front of God when I see or have others see it. I lived bad in my early years and did things I am very ashamed of now. I have turned a new leaf and thankfully Jesus washed those sins away but I will still have to be accounted for them. Since I can't change the past, I am focusing on doing a better job now and in the future.
I was hoping you would find this post. I wanted to see your response.
The White Throne Judgement? Is there actually a name for this? Is this a belief in your religion?
I have done some things in my life I'm not proud of when I was younger too curling. I think we all have. If we didn't, there would be no tests, no transformation, no way to overcome your basic desires and sins. And, without these, there would be no need for a heaven and hell. The reason there is a need for a heaven and hell is because we aren't perfect. We weren't born that way, but we all have the ability to transform into a person like Jesus and Buddha. Without these tests that we endure, Jesus and Siddhartha wouldn't be known as great people today, role models. They would be ordinary. The reason they are extraordinary is because they had the same desires and sinful nature as you and I do, yet, through time and enlightenment they saw the beauty, and realized what they could and should be as people.
Jesus' life must be a spectacular show. I don't know much of Jesus before he reached the age of 33 or so... but like every other human, while he was maturing, and finding himself, I am sure he did things he wasn't proud of. But, because he forgave himself and transformed, and realized his father would forgive him for the mistakes he made... he became a stronger person, and tried to show the world they could do the same. He said I am the son of man... he never said you and I were any less. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, he said 'We are all God's children.' I know you are a Christian man... so what's your take on that?
The reason I hope there is a 'White Throne Judgement' is because of the tests. Because of the mistakes and the hardships, because of the personal struggle. Then the realization and transformation. These are all the reasons Jesus' life would be so incredible to watch. Not because he was born perfect.
On the other spectrum, I hope for a 'White Throne Judgement' for justice. To the cheaters, wife beaters, child molestors, murderer's, white collared thieves in their porsche's... all of them.
For all their loved one's to see, including children, spouses, parent's, and all of their friends.
Think about what the sinful unforgiven non transformed man would go through. Hell my friend.
