I am not a competitor but if I were to go I'd get a hotel (and I don't think I'd share) but if I had to.... I'd split the costs LOL. Did someone not do this?

Seems to make sense if you planned everything out you would have a room.
I would never stiff someone else on a bill. Who ever does that has personal issues to deal with...

I have shared a room with a friends in the past at contest but always paid my half. We all know competing is bloody expensive so it is nice to split that when you can.

That's terrible. As a traveling rugby player I spend a lot of time in hotels for matches. Everyone hates that person who just counts on everyone else to accomadate them, it was ok in college but it's just pitiful now that we're grown. But we do split rooms to try to make it as cheap as possible!

Terrible, I drove 650 miles to see a competition and meet some so called friends apparently one person wanted to play the Alpha male,I brought my training gear ,was i invited? no.

The next day i waited for lunch-nope! after that hospitality i left and never saw the competition.
