Would you fight again if someone hit you like this?

Former boxer and now considering MMA. I curently train at the shark tank is southern ca. I've been strictly for 4 yrs now been a practioner of BJJ. My hands are my best weapon, BJJ is slick, my wrestling is nothing great compared to others. Might try my hands at boxing again though too. The money is there. Was going to be signed at one time by top rank.

I thought so. I was never good enough to be pro and now nearing 50, that time is past. I trained as a striker for years with marginal ground game but have added BJJ skills over the last 5 years or so. I have not done a formal match in nearly 10 years though. Once again, an ok amateur but not pro class. My focus has been strenght training for the last 4 years.

It's good to just stay in shape. I'm glad there's people like you here that understand the sport.

I know that. I'm mean as in you!! Put yourself in that place.

Well, yes I would. Same goes for me or whoever is in that position. If this were a bar stage and i got knocked out like that in hopes of free drinks and $500, I would never do it again, but if I made the decision to make boxing my life, I would not quit after that. Would he even remember that punch? lol I was in a very bad car accident and don't remember it. Busted my face much worse than that.

"Don't look at me!!!"

Good luck man. Seems like you've got the itch for it.

It's my passion. I think about it day and night. A high like nothing else.

I still have a heavy bag and speed bag hanging. I do 3 5 minute rounds on the heavy and some speed work a few times a week as part of cardio. I still do my jumprope work too.

It's good to talk to people like you. Fitness is more than just moving iron though I like doing that.

Absolutely. I'll train so hard, I'll end him next fight.

He probably doesn't even remember getting hit since his lights were turned out. When I've boxed and kickboxed, the face and headshots I've taken are traumatic and shocking, but not what I would call painful. The type of KO that would make someone have nightmares about fighting is a liver punch. It's pure agony and you are completely conscious, but your body refuses to move and sometimes you can't even breathe properly for a while.
