There's absolutely no reason for people to carry weapons to class in college. Just because a few psychos shot out a couple lecture halls doesn't mean that everyone should start carrying to class. That logic totally does not follow.

People need to stop being so scared by what they hear the media push. The statistical chance of getting shot in lecture is nil. Similarly with dying in a plane crash -- it's completely safe, but the rare times something actually happens, the media jumps on it and makes a huge deal out of it, needlessly scaring all the sheep.

Yes, it's a dangerous world out there. Get used to it. There's always a small risk of some outlying tragedy to happen.

I have my Ohio CCWL. Ohio law states our students can't carry guns in school's however. I think under the right conditions, knowing some people are packing heat, it may just make the nut jobs think twice about going into a classroom for target practice or vengence.However, I'm sure those same nutjobs would find a tower/tall building to shoot from, and take people out this way.

We all are doomed, to an extent, if a nutcase wants to harm us. I like having a chance though...Just one!

I got my Ohio ccwl and i carry everywhere, execpt the bank. I just think my odds of survival when i have my pistol on me are better. Being at the mercy of another gun totting crack head without my gun don't sound like much fun to me.

Thing is, those crazies have ended up killing themselves after killing all of these other people. It's not like them getting plugged after killing 7 is going to be that much different than if they kill 10. In their mind, that is.
