Would you buy a electric car?

Cars are practically all electric-run now anyways, don't let the gas engine fool you.

Hell no, I love my gas guzzling V-8. It can pull heavy things and drive over electric cars. ;)

At the present state of technology, no I wouldn't buy an electric car. They don't go far enough between charges, and take too long to charge up. It's just not practical.

And just because no smoke comes out the exhaust pipe doesn't mean it's environmentally friendly. The electricity had to come from somewhere, perhaps your local power comes from a coal or oil-burning plant? It's not a zero-emissions vehicle, it's a displaced-emissions vehicle.

Then there's the issue of batteries. When the batteries wear out, they're expensive to replace, and the old ones have to be disposed of, creating more environmental impact concerns.

I have one. 9.6 V. Full reverse too. Not that reverse to one direction shit. Wireless too. Hate them cheap ass corded ones. Set up jumps in the driveway sometimes. sweet

Im more concerned for my health so I cant see driving a Prius when i could potentially be hit by a Surburban.

electric cars are already a thing of the past. Hybrids have proven themselves as the right direction for an economical car that is also environmentally friendly.

A hybrid car???
They seem to be able to get you to work and back...

What is the increase in the electricity bill after having to recharge them daily?

He didn't say hybrid, he said electric. Hybrid cars don't have to be charged, they get power from the gasoline engine onboard.

Getting hit by a Suburban when you're in another Suburban is no joy either. This is a bullshit reason. Trucks are not any more safe than passenger cars in a collision.

Electricity is probably more expensive than gasoline.

plus the electric vehicles look like little fag mobiles.

Not when you are the person in the small car getting hit by the big truck. I bet a lot more soccer moms would pay attention if they were in a lot smaller vehicles and others were in the big trucks and SUV's

That's if your enviromentally concered!

No.

Too expensive for what it is. Too slow and I dont drive that much so I wouldnt really save money. Oh and they're all ugly...

That's a myth. Cars have more built-in crash safety than trucks.

And if you get hit by a semi, or an H1, it doesn't matter if you're in a Kia Rio or a Suburban, you're gonna get flattened.

Your soccer moms in SUVs are suffering from a false sense of security.

Not to mention SUV's are 4x more likely to roll in a high speed collision..which is VERY VERY bad for survival.

and why would you want your car to do that?

Just because....why do people put one of those "I have a fast and furious" car muffler on their civic when it's the only mod? At least lightning bolts would do something, as well as being a great conversation starter.
