Couple Charged With Child Pornography

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A convicted sex offender allegedly recorded his wife engaging in sex acts with her two young sons and posted the images on the Internet, authorities said Wednesday.
Keith and Terri Anderson were each charged Wednesday with sexual exploitation of a minor, said Melodie Rydalch, a spokeswoman for U.S. Attorney Paul Warner. The case is likely to be heard next week by a grand jury, which could consider additional counts.
The alleged abuse happened on multiple occasions between Jan. 1, 2003 and Sept. 11, 2003, according to the criminal complaint.
Terri Anderson, 28, is accused of performing oral sex on her sons from a previous marriage, who were under age 7 at the time, Rydalch said. The boys also were depicted performing oral sex and simulating intercourse with their mother, according to the criminal complaint.
Under questioning by FBI investigators, Terri Anderson said she had sexual contact with the boys to please her husband, who came up with the idea, special agent Howard Martinez said in a deposition.
Keith Anderson, 46, was convicted in 1997 of child abuse and had registered with the state as a sex offender, according to a state Web site. His attorney, Jon Williams, declined comment.
Terri Anderson's attorney, Rebecca Hyde, did not immediately return a call for comment.
Both were in federal custody and a detention hearing was set for Monday.
If convicted, Keith Anderson faces up to 50 years in prison due to his previous conviction, Rydalch said. Terri Anderson faces up to 30 years if convicted.
Child welfare officials have taken custody of the children.
