I am one of those guys in the gym that kills themself on every lift because I figure I have a week of rest. My question is I am starting my first cycle do I have to tone it down? will I rip anything pushing myself?
 
Yes.....please do LOTS of reading here before you do anything.
You may actually end up saving yourself $$ , time, and getting the most out of anything you do concerning your training and diet.
Patience is the key before your first step into the "darkside".

First step....check out the Anabolic board.
Start reading and ask ?'s.

I'm really with Swain on this though. Almost everyone can make gains naturally.
