workout on gear

im starting a dbol only cycle soon, just wondering if you guys think i should change my workout when im on it and how?

at the moment i do each bpart every six/seven days, about 3 exercises for each part, 3/4 sets of 8-10 reps.

i was told to maybe just do two exercises for each part and do 2-3 warm ujp sets then two heavy work sets?

anyone got any suggestions on what would be the best way to train when im on it? looking to add as much muscle as poss

thanks

It means if you were truly ready to be using drugs to enhance your training, then you would not have asked a question like that.

With steroids or without them, there isn't one special way to train either way. My advice is to center your training around a main squat, pull, and press and increase the weight you handle in a progressive fashion while keeping constants like sets/reps so you know if you're making gains.

you missed the dbol only cycle... but then again that would be one for the AAS forum.

Can you post some background? Age/years training/height and weight/general body composition/some numbers on your gym lifts etc etc.

I get the feeling steroids aren't the answer for you at this point in time.

mate, i don't know your stats and lifting history, but regardless of that, a dbol only cycle is a waste of time (and recovery). i've heard guys claim they made great gains off it, but i really doubt the veracity of those claims. i'm not suggesting that someone has to have a complex cycle with a cocktail of different drugs... a good single compound cycle would be test only...
in any case, maybe you'd be better served laying off juice (not sure if i can call orals that) for some time.

im 19... i do make good gains how i'm going but its the fact that i want to actually bulk out which im finding it hard to do right now. im 6 ft, 176lbs, trained a few years on and off. im in good shape good upper body, low bf. also have trouble getting bigger legs, another reason i want to do it

You can take all the drugs you want, it won't ensure you big legs. At 19, and 6', and 176lbs, you've got a LONG way to go before considering steroids.

How do you train and eat now??

if you want bigger legs and more bodyweight, add 200lbs to your squat over the next year and a half and I guarantee you'll accomplish both of those goals.

You're 19 now, why not eat a lot and train big lifts progressively, do some damn research, and see where you're at when you're 22 or 23 and then make a decision?

save your money... buy food the best anabolic known to man.
a) i don't see enough lifting experience
b) i'm not sure how good your gains are given your size
c) AGE = natty test
i'm 26 now, i went back to the gym after a yr away and alot of weight loss... i was a fat 190lbs in september. today, i'm 223lbs, BF has reduced, all with food and iron, nothing else... not even protein powders. BTW i'm 5'10". this includes getting sick and losing weight twice in between. i don't intend to use gear for some time. bottom line is that good eating and training is all you need.

Regardless of whether you take steroids, if you want to bulk out then you have to eat more than you currently do. Since you're still in your teens, your body is producing it's own steroids in abundance and all a dbol cycle will really do for you at this stage is kick your own production into touch which isn't a good idea.

As I mentioned, to bulk you need to eat more. Start by learning how to eat to be big and take a look around this forum for information on working to a program to make steady, consistent strength gains. By the time you have all that under control you'll be a lot larger and stronger and have the diet habits to hold onto more bodyweight. At that stage you can look again at steroids.

If you use now you'll love it for a couple of months and then regret it pretty soon after. That's assuming you don't suffer from liver problems, excessive blood production, dizzyness, debilitating back and shin cramps, high blood pressure, lethargy, hot flashes from excessive oestrogen and growing tits.

Anyway, it's your call and I almost forgot to mention the dome-head look that's typical of dbol users.

Moonface!

Everytime I think of dbol, I think of this guy.

Would you please post your current diet to give us an idea of what you're eating and how often? Ideally I'd like to see every single meal you ate yesterday.

You said you have lifted a few years on and a few years off....???? You are only 17. I would strongly advise against steroids at your age. You need to get your diet straight, set up a structured and monitored training program and do this for about 3 years and see where you stand. Consume about 5,000 cals or so, don't worry about a little fat or looking like your Abercrombe build friends and see what happens. If you do not think you are gaining fast enough, eat more! There are no short cuts. At 17, you are at a prime age to train naturally. Don't be stupid!!!

1. Wait 2-3 years
2. Dbol only cycle? Do some research and save your blood pressure.
3. Do you know what PCT even stands for?
4. Best of luck
