Summer is 77 days away and I have about 8 pounds I gotta toss overboard by then. . .

as soon as tax season ends i can bump my cardio up a little. . .it's tough right now. . .sometimes i don't make it to the gym until after midnight and regardless of what time i go to bed i gotta be back up by 6am mon-fri. . .10 more days till freedom! :)

love 2 but am at work now. i will be heading to the gym in a couple of hours and the wife offered to treat me to dinner out tonight. should i cancel the 5-star reservation and go to pizza hut? LOL

hell no!

i can't wait till tax season is over with. . .the wife and i usually get out once or twice a month for dinner and a couple of drinks. . .no kids. . .just a little grown-up time for a couple of hours. . .as much as i love and appreciate my kids, i really enjoy that time that i spend one-on-one with my wife. . .and, once in a while, we'll stop by my office on the way home and get bizzy on my conference table :lmao:
 
Losing two pounds on average per week is easy...just eating clean and 30min of cardio 5x per week will do that if you have a fast metabolism. Average metabolism, make it 45min.

i do this every year so, i already have a decent cardio system in place (although, since i surpassed 40, i've had to be a little more strict throughout the year). . .i do 20 minutes a day 4 or 5 times a week through the rest of the year. . .this time of year (leading up to summer) i'll increase it to 5 or 6 times a week (sometimes 7) and after tax season, mon - thurs i'll do it in the am, on an empty stomach and then not eat for an hour afterward. . .my diet, pretty much year round (except during the holidays) is usually high protein, moderate fat, low carb mon - fri, from saturday morning through sunday lunch all bets are off. . .i eat what ever i damn well please, when ever i friggin' want. . .however, as i said earlier, i've had to modify a little since i passed 40. . .last year (42) was particularly harsh (although i bulked too much in the fall/winter) this year (43) hasn't been too bad. . .but the last few weeks before summer, i will limit my cheat to one day a week (just saturday). . .
 
You look pretty good already. You will get there easily.

actually, it's more of a "mid" picture. . .i always start leaning-out right after new year's. . .nice, easy, consistent progress. . .i'm too damn old to lose it fast. . .i lose too much muscle if i diet real hard and do tons of cardio. . .
