When the league collapses, and the people who truly love hockey start watching it again (Phoenix has a team, WTF?), then I might watch it again.

I mean, really. My impression is that Winnipeg is a hockey town, but can only support a small market team. Phoenix is NOT a hockey town. Neither is Florida. That's why the teams are losing money hand over fist.

Thus, I've always felt that a strike would be a good thing for the sport overall. It culls those who really don't care from the sport and leaves the die hard fans.

Hell yeah the strike is a good thing but you have to LOVE hockey.

This World Junior stuff is the next best thing after the Olympics, better then the NHL regualar season.

i disagree with you about florida there are plenty of fans in tampa, they had halfway decent crowds even when the lightning were bottom dwellers for years on end, once mangaement decided to spend a little money and put a decent team on the ice the crowds improved a lot, they sold out every playoff game this year and quite a few regular season games, the bucs have a season ticket waiting list of over 50,000, give the fans here something to root for and they will come, miami is a totally different story, their fans suck no matter what the sport, no one goes to pro games no matter what the sport there, they should fold up everything in miami
