Wondering about steroids.

There are too many reasons here why you should just walk away from any thought of steroids for a very long while. They are not simply another recreational drug that's worth trying out. Steroids are synthetic hormones and can make permanent changes to your body, both good and bad.

At your age, and the stage of physical and emotional development that being at your age entails, experimenting with steroids can do you irreparable harm. Wait until your body has finished its natural maturation and then, maybe, think again about gear. At this time, there are no safety precautions that will protect you from some of the negatives of using gear at your age.

Meanwhile, if you want to hone your physique, go browse the diet and training forums. A huge benefit to being in your late teens is that a good diet and training program can give you everything that a bucket-load of gear can give you with a typical mediocre program and it'll do it without the attendent risks.
 
quite boozing, quite smoking, go to your local library and read every nutrition, fitness, bodybuilding book/magazine they have then go shopping for the right foods, order a 5lbs tub of whey protein online for about 25 bucks, join a hardcore gym or utilize the one at your school, repear this for the next 4-6 years then come back here and talk steroids some.
 
I started WAY too early. DON'T DO IT! Please, you will never regret waiting but you will probably regret jumping in too early.

Lets see.. I'm 18 years old, 5' 10, and around 160lbs. I just started my second semester of college. I began working out when I was 16 and back then would never have thought about using steroids and probably never would had it not been for my venture into the world of illicit drugs. Now that I have gotten back into the swing of things my curiosity about steroids has sparked. But before I ask my questions I should mention that I have had a very mild case of Gyncomastia since I was 12 or 13. I read that steroid use could cause Gynocomastia so I was wondering already having it would it be unwise of me to consider the use of steorids? Can anyone brief me or tell me where I can find accurate un-biased information on steroid use, safety, precautions, ect.

I know very little about steroids other than what I read on Wikipedia. (which probably isn't the greatest source)

Alright I shouldn't have assumed that roids were just another recreational drug. I have always done large amounts of extensive research on recreation drugs before taking them. I do plan to stick around and learn as much as I can. I will not totally rule out taking steroids after year or two but I will make sure I know everything about them before I consider it.

I know I should stop drinking, smoking pot, or doing any drugs all together but I'm going to be honest and say that I'm in my first year of college and I don't think thats possible, I have already cut back to weekends only and hopefully that is good enough I will however try to slow down to less and less often as time passes though. I know plenty of people in great shape that use drugs so I'm not worried about it being a problem.

I have a membership to LA Fitness that I have had for the last 2 years, today after going to the gym I walked into GNC and bought Cyto Gainer Lean Muscle Maximizer that has 54g of protien, 3g of creatine, and 2g of glutamine in each serving. Before I was using some Whey crap with 23g of protien and I figured this sounded better although I don't actualy know if this is the best choice. I am willing to purchess whatever reccomended supplements that will work, if you guys have can advise me in the right direction that be great. My roomate told me not to take creatine that it just makes muceles look bigger and its all water and it goes away when you stop, however I researched it a little and couldent find any information on that. I plan to do lots of reading into working out, dieting, ect. but I dont know where to start.

Any help or suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.

When it comes down to it, the 'secret' to growing muscle and getting stronger it to lift ever-heavier weight and with eating enough to fuel the growth and resting enough to permit recovery. You don't need supplements, vast amounts of protein or, even, creatine; not at this stage, anyway.

Go to the training forum and find a strength-based training program. Lots of people there will point you at the 5x5 or 3x5 programs. You could do worse.
 
bro, you're in college...... there's nothing wrong with partying, in fact , there would be something wrong with you if you didn't party, as far as the steroid thing, why don't you try going to the gym for more than 10-15 times a month, I"ll bet you'll make some great gains if you just get more serious with your training and start watching your diet. YOu need to try some basic supplements like protein, creatine, aminos, etc, and you'll be surprised of your gains. But you are too young and inexperienced and just not focused enough right now to even consider a cycle. I know thats not what you want to hear, but its the truth.. Stay on the site and do a lot of research and wait a while before you consider doing aas.
