I have close friends who are officers and we all agree on a couple things. Here are the statements;

1- woman are not physically able to perform the same job as men. The male officers do not feel safe with a woman as their partner. Very FEW women have the strength levels appropriate to challenge assailents let alone provide physical support. An officers job is hands on and strength is necessary. plain and simple.

2- women get exploited bc of the above reasons.

Female cops are better off, working the admin side of law enforcement. I just don't think they have the strength, or intestinal fortitude to handle the everyday rigors. Can they handle seeing a chopped up wife murdered in a domestic dispute? Can they handle seeing a dead baby in a garbage bag? Men have a hard time dealing with these kinds of situations, it would be impossible for women to remain cool or detached. Local governments have limited budgets and I think female cops take up too much of the budget, if they can only work certain details, like security at a stadium or parades and protests. They're just taking jobs away from male cops that can basically work under all the conditions that a female cop can't. Female cops are useless and hated by male cops because of this.

Looking at the physiques of a number of policemen, they're not all huge strong ripped guys and strength is not the only skill required of a police officer. They don't have have to be able to physically take you down.

That's why they have guns.

If I burglar was in my house and I called 911 - the last thing I would want is a female cop showing up. This is a silly example - but I do not feel safe having female cops showing up at dangerous scenes. There are probably exceptions to this - as there are to everything...

In terms of females having other roles - I think they could do the admin work as someone stated - but I also think they might be able to be detectives. There are females who can handle seeing dead babies and domestic murders. Not all females are highly emotional. Plus, if you know how to suck it up when you see it and gather evidence you can freak out about it later. Plus I am sure people are quickly densensitized in that line of work if they are fit for it. One of the best FBI profilers is a female - she has the show on CourtTV - she has to look at crime scenes.

They are either driving the sergeants if they are half way good looking. Working behind the desk as a house mouse. If they team up with someone (male) it’s short lived because when the fights begin, they run. For real. Left her partner getting his assed kicked in a project lobby.

They wind up teaming up with another female in a car. Then they write checks their asses can’t cash. Call for help and everyone gets hurt except for them because their hands never left their sides in the fight.

They all are cheating. They try to act like men. They are the first to file a complaint if they don’t get their way.

Definitely pepper spray. After the adrenaline wore down. I had burns on my face, neck, and the top of my back for 3 days. Sux almost as bad as a broken back.

Us bouncers were to fault bc we all wore black that night and didn't wear staff shirts. WE are at fault. Had we worn the staff shirts than it woud have been different. I think the officers mistook us for crazy guys.
