woke up starving at 3am!??

woke up at 3am thinking it was time for b/fast! I had a scoop of cottage cheese and went back to bed..thats never happened to me before.

That day i did 30mins bike FTITM on empty stomach, then had pilates after work. Had 2 huge tuna salads after that, which also had olive oil and heaps of vegies.
Could it come from a calorie deficit from that day? I ate what I usually do...
hope this wont become a recurring pattern...

That happens to me all the time:(

seriou? do u eat something or igone and go back to sleep?

I was wondering if i should have a spoon of glutamine before bed to prevent this..would that make any difference?

I keep a spoon and a jar of peanut butter next to my bed at all times...

Actually Spatts recomended a protein shake and some Flax before bed.
I woke up last night as a matter of fact
(because my calories are slightly restricted) I had the shake and flax and slept untill my alarm rang.

what do you mean..what did you have..and how have you since changed?

somethings regarding my diet I have been learning through experience... in a diet with high protein and very low carbs... one tends to feel very weak... that also happened when my carbs were veggies and fibrous carbs. I compensated this by including the complex carbs (ie., potatoes) in the morning and leaving the simple ones to the evening.... also for every meal I had as I'm on high proteins I try to include a carb source. That has worked well for me, since I did that if I wake in the middle of the night it is not because I'm starving, but anyways I always have a protein shake or milk in my bedside table because in the night at some stage we enter a catabolic state.... so if I don't wake at any time I can still take my milk in the morning.
