My brother just told me that they were cancelled b/c of the Sex for Sam where Paul Macurio's [sp?] team had sex in church.
They were cancelled in Boston a few years back for an April fools gag saying the mayor was dead. Do the same people who own WNEW own WSYP as well? If so then O&A won't be on 94.1.
O&A have the greatest guests come on. Anyone ever see Jim Norton? I caught him at the TLA in Philly. He was/is hilarious.
They weren't cancelced by the station. The FCC forced it through Infinity Broadcasting, which owns a bunch of shit (inckluding Howard Stern's K-ROCK) and some others.
There are talks now of closing down WNEW, we'll see.
O&A are funny, and while I have noppersonal objection to this recent prank, someone in the station management should have used some better judgment.
Dayyyyum.....that was a while ago. I used to listen to them a few years ago while I was working at GNC. I remember going to the Short Hills mall around the same time when they brought all the homeless through there on a $100.00 shopping spree. Haha store owners were giving away free shit to them to keep them from comming in the store. I remember one guy pulled his gate down and closed up hahahahahaha

Infinity has a nice monopoly going. They also own z100, 660 WFAN, also I think 104.3 classic rock. I think they also own 880 and 1010 in the New York area. Of course infinity is owned by Viacomm which owns CBS. They merged a while ago but Viacomm is the big boss. Viacomm has a super nice monoply going.
