I am goign with teacher here

#1 3 summer months off
#2 retirement after 30 yrs you get 75% of your salary for life
#3 Full healthcare and full dental car
#4 a no stress job don;t do shit
#5 differnt poeple to interact with
#6 no accountability- stadnard testing only make sit easier you just teach the te

whats your best profession, i jsut think this is the most money job, doens't pay all that great
though what about you guys

Know many teachers? ...try having to make lesson plans all the time, grade papers at home, show up early and stay late for playground/bus duty, etc, etc, etc... Thereby, the meager salary you get based on a 40-hr week, works out to be even less since you're now working a 60-70 hr week.

...of course, you could just be a PE teacher, in which case, forget the above.

A BIT CONTRADICTORY LARRY. ANYWAY, I WOULDNT MIND BEING A TEACHER BUT THE MONEY THING IS TOO BIG A FACTOR FOR ME. TENURED COLLEGE PROFESSORS CAN MAKE PRETTY GOOD MONEY. HOWEVER, FOR THE AMOUNT OF EDUCATION THEY HAVE TO HAVE, THEY COULD BE DOING SOMETHING MUCH MORE LUCRATIVE.

The best career is what makes you the happiest. Money isn't everything. Every job sucks but if you sort of like what you do, life is more bearable.

As far as being a teacher, I am an adjunct faculty member at a University on Long Island and let me tell you it was NOT easy. When I was trying to find "myself" in college I took some early childhood ed courses. My professor told us that if you teach the right way it is the hardest job in the world. Boy, was he right.

That is the biggest BS post ever! Most teachers have to find summer work to get by untill they reach tenure! Many Pensions are getting raided right now! Full healthcare is a myth in most cases now! Teaching is one of the most Stressful Jobs there is in this day and age! Go talk to some retired teachers about how their health improved when they retired among other this! There is a 50% turn around in the first 5 years! Interacting with Jailbait mental/social cases and Shitheads all day and you might get lucky and have a couple of nice kids in your class! Of course I'm talking about Public Schools! Private is a breeze!

Independently Wealthy is the best job!

No way pal, its not like that. Two good friends of mine are teachers. Basically, kids are evil these days, classrooms are hell and administrations and parents are you enemy. they both do shit jobs over the summer to survive. Id much rather be a garbage man.

Is this a problem? In the state in which I live, the age of consent is 16, WHETHER OR NOT THE ADULT IS IN A POSITION OF AUTHORITY. So whether the girl is 16 and just your neighbor, or your student, you can tag that ass and face no jail time.
