With Memorial Day approaching

I'm on it.
I've adopted two, I write them both daily, it takes away from my EF time but everyone has to sacrifice. Also, they really appreciate the junk food. My ex-wiminz turned me onto the site, she has two soldiers as well.

Anyone that hasn't been deployed in the military, mail call is THE high point of your day. I let my fellow soldiers read the letters from my mother starting in bct.

I would ask that you commemorate the fallen by adopting a soldier.

Something as simple as a letter or an inexpensive "care package" means a lot when you're deployed and some soldiers don't have families or other support.

I still have alot of good brothers over there that I served with and I try to keep in touch with them as much as I can. Some of them our on the 4th tours which I couldn't imagine!

Man that was all you could think about and what kept you motivated. It was really cool when we would get letters from little kids and high school kids saying how much they supported you. The packages were the bomb! I do remember friends getting the dear Jodie letters and the pain they went through trying to deal with that and keep alive and do their mission right. I was lucky that while I was in the Army I never had a serious relationship I was in my playing days because that would have been some hard stuff to go through.

Ditto, I was lucky enough to not have a girlfriend or wife.
