5 egg whites and one whole egg

I hear yaredguru said:Actually I buy them in a 5 dozen box from Wally-World Or Sams for $4.25. Adding the oatmeal, that's less than a buck for a pretty good sized breakfast

I don´t really feel an A coming. The last chapter is most important and I dont know it well enough. Im going over it again now.samoth said:Piece of cake.
Make sure to get a full nights sleep before the exam. Memorization and memory recall are key, as well as actually understanding the mechanisms.
Get an A and post a scan of the grade on the exam and I'll shoot 20,000 karma your way!

Orgo 1 is chem "235", whereas chem "335" is orgo 2, which you might delve into.

I don´t really lack material. Moreso time.

I´m not actually in pre-med, I´m already in med. there is no premed here, and getting a masters in medicine takes 7 years. kind of different system.
BrothaBill said:4. You're so delirious from studying late every night that you're thinking maybe the final won't be so hard.

Hiatussin said:we got 8 questions, with subquestions
4 were to be discussed during the oral examination.
The guy knew my name. he has like 3000 students. I dont know if thats good or bad. We went over all 8 the questions together. he even told me how to correct one thats not even meant to be discussed. He probably gave me a point there.
After looking through the whole thing, he said something like "I´ll see what I can do Hiatussin (he actually used my name again)" and handed me my papers back with some kind of reassuring nod...
I´m not sure. It was harder than I expected.

samoth said:Hard to tell. Some profs keep a professional attitude, and often students interpret that negatively when they're used to the more personal, emotionally open teachers who are more likely to say, "good job! blah blah blah". So it could go either way. However, if he knew your name, that's a very good sign. Especially when you're often just a number, as is often the case in schools and universities.
Keep in mind I speak from my own perception and experiences in the U.S. school system, but many things can be universally generalized.
"Oral examinations" are something unheard of in the U.S., though, with the only real exception being PhD defence or quals or what have you.
Did you ever decide which direction in medicine you want to go?

Hiatussin said:Most exams are oral here. I don´t know which I prefer.
That decision is not made until after 7 years samoth. and if it is to be in this school, I need to end top of my class to be able to choose anyway.

Oral exams are good if the teacher is positively prejudiced about you.samoth said:I kinda like the oral exam concept, but I've never once experienced it.
So you can't choose over there? Here, it's 4 years undergrad and 4 in med school after that, where acceptance into med school is heavily dependent on undergrad grades and similarsuch. Specializing, I believe, happens after med school, with the popular areas like plastic surgery going to those who perform the best in med school.

I personally believe in it.4everhung said:interesting
initially I was thinking that a face-to-face exam would be more difficult
but if you know your subject well I think it would be easier
a mere minute of talk can cover pages of written word
tell me about it. I had 16 !!! subjects in HShanselthecaretaker said:Organic chemistry sounds pretty interesting. The problem I had with school was the other 5 classes that only served to divide my attention so much my interest faded in all of them collectively; even the ones that could've been interesting otherwise.
Good luck there though, I'm sure you're more studious than I ever was.
