I'm starting a new job. I've never just walked out of a place in my life, but yesterday I did. I worked there for 3 years, did very well, but also put up with so much bullshit it was ridiculous. The last straw was my RVP telling me that the people working under me were going to be taking up to a 30% pay cut and they'd just have to do more to make the same. They also made me lay off one of my ops staff that had been with the company for 6 years. That sucks, but she had just sold her house and is a week away from closing on a new house. Basically her dream house.

Anyhoo. Being even steven Seinfeld style, I got a call last night with another offer. Zero responsibility, good pay, just about the same benefits, no goddamn reports or numbers to watch. Only downside is, it'll take me around 2 months to be paid. I can deal with that.

I feel like I just got parolled.

I changed jobs a few times before I went out on my own. . .a couple of times it was a little painful due to friendships that I had developed with co-workers and bosses, but it was always very liberating. . .hard to beat that "clean slate" feeling. . .especially if you get to take your vacation with you. :)

Congrats! Don't look back. . .even if you find out that you made a mistake!!

I bought a medium shirt so I can really show my dough boy-esque figure off. I think I'll go with no under drawers too so I can have the really tight shirt with a gap between shirt and pants, and then a good ass crack shot look. Totally in this season, and professional as hell.

I speak from experience. . .I blew it once. . .got pissed, and made a decision with my emotions instead of my brain. . .hated the new job. . .toughed it out for one year and then moved on. . .never looked back, though. . .fug it!!
