Wish me Luck please

I received a phone call yesterday about a piece of porperty I had bid on earlier in the year and lost to a different purchaser.

Apparently his offer was aggressive because he was planning on pursuing an aggressive subdivision plan that the town rejected.

I lowered my price 75k from my initial offer, promised a 30 day closing, on condition that they get through attorney review today (told them I had a different piece of property I wouldnt jeopardize, not true, but I said it anyway).

My attorney just called and said its mine! Almost 15 acres, gorgeous view, with a barn and what will become a sort of carriage house after I build my dream home.It backs right into a reservation I can ride into as well.

It will be years before any new home is up, but at least I have the property, and it coincided with the sale of my current home, which was excellent timing as well.

Don't mean to bore everyone with it, just something I always dreamed about since when I was a kid.

Rob: I dont know what kind of house yet. I may go higher because the view is so nice. I saw a home once where the owner had built something along the lines of an observation deck with steps leading up from a two story library. It was a nice place to sit out and drink some coffee or entertain.

I started browising some websites with architectural plans trying to get ideas.

But I will definitely have to hire someone with better taste than me to figure out the details. I do know that I've always wanted a library with a fireplace and my own den in which to work and relax.
