In about two hours I'll find out if I could have another Lasik procedure to correct my vision. I'm going in for an evaluation now. They have to see if my eyes can handle it, I believe it's the thickness or something they have to check, and other things.

If I can't have it done, I'm taking people down. Down I say! lol jk

This could be a life changer for me. No more (or just less of them) halos and bad night vision problems/glare etc... Then I could drive at night and maybe get a job! and

Assholes!

Gl bro

I had lasik done about four years ago and can see great

small halos at night though...but a lot better then wearing glasses

wow, too bad man.

I myself am too scared to fuck with my eyes and go for lasik. I wear glasses and lately got contacts but am having trouble getting used to them but I beleive it will be ok in the end with the contacts.
Maybe contacts will help your sight?

Thanks everyone. Turns out I can't. SUCKS!

Fucking SUCKS! Everything SUCKS!

That sucks but maybe in a couple of years they will have a new procedure and can help you out.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Another Lasik? So you had one that didn't quite take? Join the club. I had to do it twice, and afte the second, I was eagle-eye. The procedure is a little bit nastier (since they have to lift the flap) but the recovery was much easier.

Good luck bro,

Jesus that sucks bro, hopefully as the technology advances you will be able to. I wear contacts and am hesitant to go in for lasik yet as I'm only 25. I figure I'll wait another 5 or so years and then start looking. Shit man, hope things eventually work out on that.

The first procedure I had was the one where they lift the flap to your eye and laser in there. My wife watched the whole thing through a glass window in the room. Cool shit. You gotta be awake during the thing and looking directly at it of course.

The first procedure I had was about 7, 8 years ago and I waited THIS LONG for this NEW procedure. lol I don't know when another NEW procedure will come. Ehh... FUCK.

Anyway... A lot of very high preofile people have done this surgery. I know it means shit when you're thinking of YOUR OWN eyes, but you gotta think, these people (Tiger Woods has done it) have all the money in the world, they can do anything and they do this surgery. I was reading Tiger's statement in the office waiting room. He was a -11 before surgery (legally blind) and now sees 20/20. I was -16 before my surgery, I guess I was legally blind too! lol I DO see a lot better now, it's just the glare I have problems with. I went from a -16 to a -4 after the surgery.

They do have glasses coming out in about a year that are like having the surgery done while wearing them. They're supposed to correct the night vision and halo effect, etc... or I have the option of wearing hard contact lenses. Can't wear the softs anymore.

That's about it... Just in case other people were wondering what's out there.

Thanks again everyone.

Good luck my man.

thanks for the info.

What do you mean exactly by these glasses that are like having the surgery done.
Also why cant you wear soft contacts anymore? I am hearing more and more that even though softs are easier to wear and safer than hard lenses, they in the long run are more problematic...

i had LASIK done in 2000 to correct near sightedness........awesome! totally free of glasses since jr high school.

now i am starting to need "reading" glasses..............yet ANOTHER sign i am not 19 anymore. (like i need any more reminders.............)
