Wisdom Tooth

Hi yall

I recently had some problems with my wisdom tooth (havent taken it out yet)and I had to go to the dentist, as it looks now I will be out of the gym for about a week and a half as the whole area is huuuge and slightly infected.

Ive already started to lose a little weight which is really worrying me since it took me so long to get to where I am now.
My main problem at this point is that I cant eat properly, I have to stick to protein shakes and cottage cheese because chewing is close to impossible.

Ive had to take short breaks before due to injuries from sports etc but Ive always been able to eat properly..

My question is how much will I lose in about a week and a half`?
And should I be trying to stuff my face to keep my cals and protein take up.?

Im sorry if this is a stupid question but ever since I been out of the gym its been quite depressing as Ive been putting in too much work to lose it all over this :(

Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had an abcess in my wisdom tooth area once as well, personally I did not lose too much weight. However the longer you put off getting it removed the longer you go eating pureed foods only.
Best thing to do is make the appt and get it taken out, about 3-5 days later you will be back to new again.
No one can tell you how much weight you are going to lose as everyone is different. And yes obviously if you are concerned that you will lose to much weight than continue trying to keep your protein and cal intake to a higher level than just shakes and cottage cheese.

Hey thats exactly what I have I just didnt know the English way of saying it (writing it) :D

I finally managed to eat normal again tonight without too much pain, though it took me about 30 min extra so hopefully in a couple of days I can get back in the gym :)

Im pretty sure I lost a couple of kilos but hopefully Ill get it back in no time.

Thanks again for your feedback, its much appreciated :)
