Wisdom Teeth got yanked this week! Rant!

Posted this in another board but figure i'd hit this spot up too. Just had 2 wisdom pulled monday night and damn did it hurt. I urge anyone who hasn't been to the dentist in the last 6 months to go and nip it in the bud. After years of having clean and straight teeth i still had to go see the S O B for cleaning's etc.. and since i wasn't a regular i find out that i need $1500 in cleaning and $1500 in yanked teeth. Needless to say this hurt in more ways than one..
Get your check ups people! learn from Karachi's mistakes namely not having dental!

I'm lucky my dental plan covers the first $3000 of extensive dental work and 100% of exams and metal fillings. I still don't go as much as I should.

I've also had all of my wisdom teeth removed and it wasn't fun at all. The only cool thing is the surgeon let me keep the teeth afterwards in a jar.

one of mine just broke through my gum 2 days ago. Hurts like a bitch. I'm almost thirty, I actually thought I was in the clear with them. Have an important interview in two weeks so I have to at least wait untill after that to get it done.

I went through the dental school at the UT Medical Center in San Antonio. Was awesome; they do an awesome job when their careers depend on it!

The best part is that your gums feel like hamburger meat for a week or two.

You'll be eating a lot of eggs this week. If it's cold where you are, don't spend much time outdoors.

its cool- you'll have holes where your teeth used to be and you can store things in there.

i love getting teeth pulled and surgery and stuff. i can deal with any pain, and i get pain meds. YAY!

yeah eggs, jello and soup but today i splurged and had meatballs mashed in with mashed potatoes. And the leftovers are stuck in the back staying warm for later. the worst part is is i have one more left....... I hope i can go at least another year for that one

Whatever you do, make damn sure to listen to their advice about not sucking through a straw or making that sucking motion. I misunderstood the lady when she said no sucking as I smoke cigs. I thought she said a few days but she said something like a week. Well after that mistake, I got...damn I can't remember the term but it really fucking hurts!!! They had to pack these clove flavored gauz packs in each hole where I was missing a tooth to let it heal. I was out of commission for a good week because of the pain.

dude...dont be a beatch. I got 3 wisdom teeth pulled (the 4th one never came down and is inside my skull..lol) my doc didnt give me shit..told me to take some tylenol.

My doc was just as bad. And I only had two, the uppers. The lowers not only never came in, they don't even show up on xrays. I guess I'm only half as wise as most people.

Got all four out at the same time, he knocked me out for it. Recovery is easy, pain is not there. Don't get dry socket though. I hear it sucks.

I had all 4 of mine pulled at the same time and never had any pain and was shopping and eating 2 hours later. I would have been out sooner but I had to wait for the medication to ware off.

Damn we got some rough folks around here. Day 5 and my mouth still f*kin bothers me. Tomorrow i hope i don't drink so much that i'll forget to not eat stupid shit.
