Wisdom Teeth Cut Out

yah ive gotten mine taken out. i went under for the hour procedure, its peanuts man. just do everything they tell you to do post recovery and you will be fine.

the worst part is getting stuck with the needle (and im sure anyone who takes an AS they aren't worried about needle pricks).

again, you will be fine, you wake up and your mouth is so frozen you don't feel shit. its day 2 or 3 that its a mild pain in your mouth, but rise with salt, dont use a straw and blah blah you will be fine.

as for being on an AS, check for complications with the anethestic they are using and your specific AS. they are very concerned with bloodpressure, heartbeat etc. so if you have elevated levels they may get over concerned (something ot think about at least)

waiting is your best bet

I had mine removed about a year ago.

It was basically a piece of cake. Painless procedure, but the recovery was a little.... gross. DO NOT DRINK OUT OF A STRAW after they are pulled! That can cause the clotted blood in your holes to be sucked out and you'll bleed like a stuck pig in your mouth!

Yeah.. the grossness of the taste of blood for about the next day was the worst part.

Funny... when I was going under, I have no idea WHAT he gave me. But, after he administered he said, "Now... You might feel your rear kind of itch for a second."

All of a sudden, my ass itched like CRAZY!!!! I said, "Whoa... Yeah. Yeah! My ass does itch!!" and that's the last thing I remembered before being woken up by the nurse.

Stock up on ur protien shakes and bananas- blend them and suck 'em through the straw all day long---rest and life can't be better than that! lol. No worries bro. and good luck happy smilin'

NO!!! Do NOT use a straw for at least a month after having them extracted!

If those clots get sucked out of the holes, you're going to KNOW it!

Yep, I remember that: sip don't suck. The vacum (sort of low pressure) in your mouth will cause the "holes" to bleed!

forget about all the wimps on pain meds for a month ;-)

I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed, you don't have to be all the way out if that is what concerns you. I was awake the entire time; slightly sedated plus shots in the gums, and hearing them cut on my gums, drill into and crack apart the imacted teeth so they can get them out in pieces may not be for everyone. Also, about 1/2 way through I realized that I could see my reflection in the glass over a print on the facing wall. I had no idea my mouth/cheeks could be spread so far apart; At least I know where my bruised cheeks came from. lol.

The only complication I had was some swelling with a minor infection on the lower right side which I finally just pressed on and pressed on until a bunch of puss and some blood came out (pretty gross, like popping a big zit in the back of your mouth). Don't know if I had any pain killers or not. Really wasn't a big deal.
