wireless PC --> surround sound

As much as I used to be a kick-ass (and incredibly humble) developer and consider SQL my first language, I'm completely lost when it comes to networking stuff. So... does anyone know the best *wireless* way to connect a PC to a surround sound system? I don't want to run any cables and I just want to be able to fire up Windows Media Player and select a Barry White playlist (it's all about seduction) and have it fill up the room... What to do?

easiest thing maybe to get one of Gateway's connected home theater boxes. you could get an older pc capable of running xp, use remote user control from a different pc, tell it to run media player and what songs. i did this untill i fried my motherboard. worked great till then

it can be done NADY make wireless transmitters & recievers for alot of applications!!!!
