Wireless networks & shared files

Windows 98 desktop and a ME laptop - I'm like spastic trying to get these two computers working together. They are both hooked up with a wireless router (that's fine), it's the shared files I can get.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

BAH.

I can get XP but I need to get all the important info of the ME laptop (ME sucks waaaay worse than 98) to the desktop (lotsa hard drive space) so I would have enough drive space to install XP (I won't bother unless I can upgrade both computers and I just use the desktop for file storage).

Anywho.


I don't know how to set up the shared drive.

At work I have XP and it set up totally different and I never could get it to work at home.

Shit..I have a desktop and a laptop BOTH run XP and 1 pummeled closet door later, I still can't share files.
