Winstrol & Hair Loss - Please Help!

This is my first post - need some help please!

I'm 37 yr. old male, took Stanozolol for 2 weeks at 50mg/cc, one cc every other day via drinking the injectable. I have never had hair loss problems previously, nor any type of male pattern baldness problems and have a pretty thick head of hair. After 2 freakin' weeks I noticed some hair loss, not extreme or anything but noticed some strands coming out when washing my hair. I quit immediatley, which was 13 days ago, and I am still getting some strands coming out. Went to my doctor and told him about it, he said it would stop with time. How long will this continue, am I freaking out for no reason? Anything I can do to stop it?? Any advice will be much appreciated, thanks.

I was told that using Nizoral shampoo helps. I'm actually looking into the same thing. I read an artifcle which leads me to believe Nizoral will help.

Sorry, wish I was more help.

nothing helps that much, yeah the shampoo may help alittle, also theres this stuff called Polysorbate 60 which i thought was pretty helpful. but in all honesty if you were concerned with hair you made the wrong choice of drugs. you might see hairloss for months, maybe you should, if you arent already, start taking propecia i mean at your age if hairloss is in your family it can only help, winstrol or not. i think sometimes winstrol can trigger mpb early in someone if they are genitically predisposed. the only problem with the propecia is if you start you dont plan on ever stopping, its not real expensive, but its not cheap either.

and drinking it, cmon, do it right.

it is normal to find hair on your hands when washing your hair,,i know we tend to a get a little paranoid when taking something. i have been guilty of that as well

winstrol directly binds, so the only thing that can help is a topical anti-androgen (nizoral is one).

though it may be stress and winstrol also causes drying of the scalp which may increase shedding which is not necessarily androgenic hair loss. Stress also causes this

i dont understand your direct binding comment,

I do agree that MPB has evidence to suggest it is an inflamatry process..i did notice my scalp was dry when taking certain things and my hair shed massive amounts,,the things that made my scalp greasy i did not experiece any hairloss..weird

my girl was taking 5mg x 2 a day and after 5-6 days she combed her and nd big chunks came out

i dont understand your direct binding comment,

it means that you cannot use a 5 alpha reducatase inhibitor to reduce its effect. Hence use of a topical anti-androgen is really the only option (if winstrol is causing the hair loss via AR or even non genomic binding site).

Rogaine will help too. Like macro said, you can't take anything to inhibit 5ar to help with winny shedding. You always shed hair bro, sometimes you just tend to notice more when you're taking something like Lanky said.

My hair line started to receede at week 8 on 50mg/day of winny. When I stopped, it mostly if not all came back. And male pattern baldness does not run in my family. I love winny, but the hair loss freaked me out.

For me, nothing stops hair loss from winny. I won't use it anymore. There are too many other great compounds out there to accomplish the same (or better) goals.

I'm finding the same thing right now also. Took tren and winny but with 2 daily applications of topical spironolactone and still I have quit taking it due to the risk of hairloss. Stick to deca, npp, and var.

Thanks for the info, I just find it hard to believe this is happening after only 2 weeks (14 days exactly) on Winny. Any idea on how long it will continue to shed after stopping the Winny? I understand the comments about being paranoid and maybe noticing it just because of being on, but it definetley started after taking it. Man this sucks, I can't notice any "thinning" when I look in the mirror, but everytime I see strands in the sink I freak out.

telogen effluvium?

happens to me.. hair grows back just as thick.

^^ what he said.

MPB doesnt happen overnite, it takes many cycles to miniaturize to chromedome-edness.

the TE can get BAD - if you feel a sensation of "pain" in the scalp thats a good indication of impending shed.

I use b-5 (panthotenic acid) with great success to ward off TE from androgens, probably because it prevents the oil strangulation at the bulb that may be one of (or THE) mechanism of choking off the follicle in TE.

ah yes the familiar feeling of a tight, dry, and burning scalp to signal the start of a massive shed.

Geoboy - so you are saying it is most likely TE? After reading the article, I have checked some of the strands that come out and they DO have a "white bulb" at the end of them, which is mentioned in the article. I don't notice any tightness or burning, but my entire head does "itch" sometimes. One thing that doesn't seem to ad up though is it says "there is a required time lapse of several months between the inciting cause and the excessive shedding of hair" with TE? It does state that with TE the hair will grow back within 6-12 months - that is a HUGE relief.

This may be a stupid question, but you are saying that you take b-5 as a vitamin supplement to ward off, you don't apply it to your head, correct? If so, what kind of dosage/how often do you take it?

Thanks again all, I'm starting to feel better already if this is TE. This is an excellent forum.

Either way, I would switch to a compound that does not cause hairloss. Proviron is similar to winny, it will cause hairloss very fast.

That's weird because winny makes me shed but not proviron.

For those of you who experienced shedding with Winny - does the hair grow back?
If you get off of it at the first sign of trouble. The follicle atrophies until it eventually dies. If you go too far it will kill the follicle and cause permanent thinning/baldness.

i was on nizoral for about three years. i did not notice any decrease in shedding or reduction in rate of MPB..i might have to go on finasteride in the next 8 years and have the DHT level of a 10 year old girl..lol...

i'm on dutasteride...there are fetuses with more circulating DHT than me...and not even the really buff fetuses - i mean the puny ones, the "screeches" of the fetus world.

but i do still have a full head of hair. take that you bald fucking fetuses!

thebrakes, have you noticed facial bloating due to the Dutasteride? If you go on a cycle and use AIMF or an aromatize inhibitor are you able to keep the bloat off?

I'd almost rather be bald than have no libido.

Dam, I'm so tempted to say you should empty the b-5 capsules on your head and rub it in but I dont have the heart lol.

yes, thats correct, take orally as a supplement. I take 1500-2000mg two to four times a day based on level of skin oiliness. start slow and work up to that or you'll end up with fulminative diarrhea as the b-5 also increases intestinal peristaltic activity until you build a tolerence.

the itch is the body "rejecting" the dead hair lol. it's now a foriegn body that must be expelled. the itch will progress to tightness or "pain" of a sort, then the shed and then no more itch.

also, based on experience, the time lapse between bulb insult and shed can be pretty short with androgens, like 6 to 8 weeks. But as mentioned, the good news is it grows back. basically all that happened is you threw a huge percentage of your hair into dorment phase at the same time (as opposed to the much smaller percentage normally in dormant phase).

You can accelerate the grow back with minoxidil btw.
