Will2BLean's Log

Woo hoo! LOL! So, what do you do? Do you like it? Right now I'm a legal assistant (how I got the job w/ a math and computer programming degree, I may never know! LOL!), and, quite frankly, it doesn't pay enough.
I am a network tech but it is mostly helpdesk stuff. I hate computers but I only have about 5 months left and then I can do whatever I want.

LOL!! I'm not looking forward to it much. I keep telling myself that if I do this for a couple years and save, I will be able to do something fun. Hopefully it's not an idiotic idea. :lmao:

I finally got a copy of DH's b-ball schedule, so I'll be able to plan everything a little better. I've been kind of flying by the seat of my pants. :lmao: I also received my A+ book yesterday. I've decided to get some computer certifications, that way I can put my degree to use. The book is frickin' HUGE. I'm not looking forward to reading it at all. Ugh.

I really want to start leaning out once the new year gets here. I would be ecstatic if I had abs during swimsuit season for once. ;) I will start looking for new 3day splits today during work (if I get time). Hopefully it will be easier for me to stick with my diet when the holidays are over. At least I know DH is in the same boat with me... yesterday, with every ounce of seriousness he had in his body, he told me to find a plan that would get him shredded... ALL WHILE STUFFING DORITOS IN HIS FACE! :lmao: They were baked, but still. I couldn't help but laugh. I just keep telling myself more cardio, less junk, and more reps. Ugh.

On another note... I hurt today. My body aches, my stomach hurts, my head aches, and I'm a little congested. I better not be getting sick! Hopefully it will pass as the day progresses.

It's not fair, is it?!

W2BL, if you don't mind, can you post your recipe for Expresso Brownie? It sounds so good! I bought small single serving foil pans at the grocery store last time around to try out your cinnamon raisin bars. I don't think I can keep 12 protein bars in the house and not eat them all within a day :lmao:

Sure! It's not as tasty as it could be. It's a work in progress... but I'll post it up. hehe

  • 5 scoops chocolate protein powder
  • 2T ground coffee beans (I used hazelnut flavored)
  • 2c warm oats
  • 2c water

Mix all ingredients until protein powder is dissolved. Let sit for 30 minutes to an hour so the oats soak up the moisture. Bake at 350 until you can poke it with a fork at it comes out clean. I used a bread pan, and it took about 45 minutes. Also, it stuck to the pan like crazy. These may be best suited for muffin tins as well since pan cleanup was a bitch. It looks kinda meatloafish and is a little dry. :lmao: It tastes good (to me and the hubby), though! I cut it into 8 bars so the nutrition facts were:

Calories: 221.6
Fat: 3.6 g
Carbohydrates: 27.1g
Protein: 21.1g

I have to :lmao: at meatloafish. I actually think cottage cheese may be a good addition to this recipe and a little egg whites with some baking powder possibly. But just the name, Expresso Brownie, makes it sound delish :p

Thank you!! I will have to check it out if I get a chance at work. I've tried a couple of their WW items and I wasn't too fond of them. :lmao:

The coffee flavor really stands out. I was wanting to try to make a bar without cottage cheese, just so I could see if I could cut it out of my diet. I've been so bloaty. They were giving away samples of their Espresso Brownies at Starbucks the other day, and I got inspired. :lmao: Theirs are MUCH prettier and look NOTHING like meatloaf. loL!!

This weekend was a mess food-wise. My dad brought ALL kinds of junk to the house since we had company... pies, cookies, rolls, pizzas (yes, plural), brownies, chips, bacon cheddar dip, more chips... I was so mad. I wanted to just throw it away, but I have issues with tossing food. I hate being wasteful. Argh. I'm still aggravated with him. He knows we don't usually eat that shit, yet he continues to do this.

No food log for the weekend.

This week is going to be all over the place. Tuesday we're having a party in the office, and I plan on indulging in treats. It's the holidays, right? hehe. We are also going out for an office lunch on Wednesday, and I know what I'm eating already (looked at the menu), but I won't know the meal totals... so already, a couple days are going to be without food totals. Also, today is hubby and my 3 year anniversary. We're not going out to eat or anything, but if he bought a few drinks for at home, I wouldn't be surprised. Anyways, I still plan on putting progress pics up on Friday. I want to see the amount of damage I've done during the week. Kind of sick and twisted, huh? :lmao: I'm upping the cardio this week to do some damage control. In the mornings, I plan on doing Cool Running's Couch to 5k plan (starting w/ week 3) and pilates on MWF, HIIT and yoga on Tuesday Thursday, and maybe some incline walking stuff on the treadmill on Saturday and maybe an hour of pilates.

6:00 rise, 20 pushups, wk 3 of C25k = 22:43, 1.75 miles (including 5 minute walking warmup), 20 minutes pilates

7:10 PWO shake

8:05 pumpkin pudding concoction

Ditto! Enjoy

Just wanted to let you that I momemtarily thought about getting out of bed today and doing push-ups W2BLean style....but chose to lie in bed for another 10 mins extra :lmao: and then had to get up & jump into the shower because I have a 9am meeting today. But I do want to emulate you by getting up and doing at least 3-5 mins of planks, push-ups and crunches, just to stretch out the body if nothing else.

Thanks, everyone!!

RT, I stayed in bed this morning, too... nursing a bit of an anniversary hangover. I didn't drink much, but sometimes a little will get ya! :lmao: I'll have to make up for them this evening.

I have decided to quit logging for now. I will more than likely start back up in January! ;) Right now I'm just kind of taking it easy since it's the holidays... plus, work has been extremely busy and it's been hard for me to get on and post everything up. Diet hasn't been the greatest, but my workouts have been on point. I actually hit a PR in bench yesterday! :elephant: Once the new year comes along, a co-worker and I will start taking a yoga class after work. I'm pretty excited about that, since I am far from flexible nowadays. I may also pick up a class or two at my current gym... I just have to fine tune the cardio/weights/yoga schedule to make it work. I have almost everything in line for the new year, so now I can relax and enjoy the festivities. :)

I'm only quitting logging, and I'm definitely not quitting EF. I hope I'll still be able to keep up with everyone's logs.

Happy Holidays, everyone!
