Does anyone have any helpful career advise. I have been in telecom sales (broadwing, verio, world com) for the past 7 years and I'm just sick of this market. I need to move into a job either managerial or sales that i can still make six figures but not have to deal with telecom anymore....I'm so depresed with my job...any sugestions?

I think the Porn ind is out of the question...I dont have a engineering degree, but i have had a sales engineer position ofered to me recently. Maybe i should look into that. I'm just tired of makeing all the cold call all day.

Cold calls are part of the job. It is actually what seperates the wannabes from the professional.

The sales Engineering title is nice as long as you know your shit technically. It will allow an engineering staff to view you more as a consultant vs. a salesman.

So, are you bustin your butt all day selling telecom equipment or services?
