Hey guys,
I'm a 40 year old endurance athlete who's put in too many hard miles this year. Every time I get on my bike my legs feel sore and load up instantly - Even after two weeks of mostly light endurance miles. My libido is shot and I've been somewhat depressed (not like me at all). Typical recovery for an over trained athlete is usually 4-6 weeks. During that time period you lose a lot of fitness.
So here's my question. I have access to Test gel that was compounded by a local pharmacy (not the weak androgel stuff). Will this help speed up my recovery?
Here are some facts about me:
40 years old
Daily Nutrition: ~3,000 calories, 60% Carbs/20% Fats/20% Protein (I know, but high carbs are recommended for endurance athletes)
Height: 6ft
Weight 167 lbs
Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
