Move over, Dolly Parton: Will Smith is planning a remake of the hit movie 9 to 5 with an all black cast.

I wonder what would happen if I tried to remake Big Momma's House or something with an all white cast... after the lawsuits and boycotts, that is.

Why do you care, Warik? Why create such a ridiculous thread about making a new movie with a different spin on it? Hollywood has been doing it for decades, but, it takes you to come up with an off-the-wall take that if the reverse happened, it would be considered racist. "The Bishop's Wife" with Cary Grant and Loretta Young was re-made as "The Preacher's Wife" with Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston; Bizet's opera, "Carmen", was re-made as "Carmen Jones"; "The Wizard Of Oz" was remade as "The Wiz" and white actors have dropped out of movie roles that were later picked up by black actors and the movie STILL went on to be successful (Barbra Streisand passed on "The Bodyguard" in the 70s and it was done by Whitney Houston; Bette Midler passed up "Sister Act" and Whoopie Goldberg stepped in; Chris O'Donnell passed on "Men In Black" and Will Smith took the part).

It doesn't bother me that Will Smith is going to remake a movie with an entirely black cast. IT DOES NOT AFFECT MY LIFE WHATSOEVER.

The point is that if I were to do the same with another movie and make a completely white cast and publicize: "NO BLACKS ALLOWED!" I would be crucified by Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and other race warlords leading an army of whiners and crybabies. EVEN THOUGH it does not affect their lives WHATSOEVER either, they would still bitch about it.

Do you see my point? I'm sure you don't, because if you were capable of seeing my point, you would not have taken the time out of your day to type up that dribble of nonsense.
