will my waist get big with weight training?

i lost a lot off my waist when i was doing cardio to burn fat

planning on weight training soon.. not wanting to get real big or anything, just toned and cut...

will my waist get bigger if i do this? i need new pants!!
 
No not really. Your pretty much only gunna get a big waist and lots of fat if your diet sucks. Weight lifting doesnt really make you fat.
 
My waist gets big if I don't. My metabolism is such that lifting relatively heavy is the only thing that keeps the poundage off. :)

Hmm thats a tough call. I gave up that battle long ago. I bulk up and i can gain so much quality lean muscle mass in a decent amount of time that i would have to buy new pants then i can shred it around my waist and be back down some sizes. Your bound to get irked at some point becuz the pants you just bought dont fit right anymore haha

I just recently gained about 20 pounds of mostly muscle and my waist went up by one inch. The eating you do in order to gain that muscle will make your waist a little bigger but is not even noticeable. My waist still looks the same as it did before, my arms and legs are just bigger
 
Yeh agreed. Your waist should grow a little bit becuz you simply cant only gain lean muscle you need to gain a little of fat to gain the muscle and then you can cut back down.

My waist didnt grow enough to require new pants but I did notice they fit a little tighter at one point but in comparison to how much the rest of my body grew far outweighed it :) its def worth putting on minimal fat to gain mounds of muscle
