Will I keep my gains after first cycle

I have done lots of research and gotten different answers. Im 35 and lets say my diet and training are on point and Im 10% bf to start. I run a 12 week test only cycle with hcg on cycle and proper pct of nolva or clomid and eat and train big during pct. After I lose any bloat from the cycle lets say I have gained 10-15 lbs of muscle. Is it realistic to think I will keep that all on once Im back to natty and keep strength gains on my lifts or will I be back to pre cycle size and strength a couple of months after pct?

keeping gains depends completely on you... there is no reason why you can't keep gains if your training and diet is on point... i like to run sarms in between cycles to not only help maintain but to add to gains... if you are doing the things you should be doing then you should be keeping gains...

Thanks. Ive talked to guys who have just done 1 cycle and were dissapointed because most gains were gone in a few months. Of course I wasnt there to see what they really did during pct

My first cycle was kinda botched, ran nothing during and finished up kinda botched too. I lost body fat, kept some size and allllllll of my strength. At 178 12% 6'0 I put up 235 comfortably and max 315. No diet no bridge, no supps other than pre workout. I DON'T RECCOMEND THIS LOL but Dylan is 100% correct and I'm a believer. Right diet right supps and right training it's DEF possible. No doubt

As they've all said, it all comes down to proper diet and proper PCT.

Now once you go beyond your genetic potential, things change. You need to stay on gear to stay at that level, but that's a whole different story and the majority or people never see that level

In the end, if u were lucky enough to keep 10-15 lbs, realistically it wouldnt b 10-15 lbs of "literal muscle". Heres my personal experiences....Im 48 yrs old, did my first cycle @ 40 yrs old. For 7 1/2 yrs, I did 2 cycles a year, always taking the recommended time off between cycles. I ALWAYS lost most all of my gains every damn time. Ive read all the post...."I did a cycle & kept 90% of my gains", or 80%, or 70% & so on. Personally I dont believe any of that. Ive never done it nor seen any of the many guys I know that juice do it either. Ill believe it when I see it. Ive experimented with diff pct & it got a tad better. My belief & experiences are if you think you're gonna do a cycle & keep most all your gains, you will be very dissapointed "in my opinion." I hope you hav better results. I took 2 1/2 months off from my last run, lost most of my gains & went bac to the spot I always seemed to go bac to & for me that is 264-268 lbs with the same loss of strength. Had a physical, test levels were 400ng. I went bac on Jan 1st & have been on since & hav no plans on coming off again. Im 6'3", currently 287 lbs & max 420 on bench. At 280 u could still see a little ab seperation on me. My points are...I feel my training is good due to where Ive gotten myself. My diet, I eat all I can for calories, some of its not healthy food, a lot is. Im not on a specific diet. I got tired of the roller coaster of cycling, gettin big, loosing it, gettin big, loosing it. RickRock13 said this...."Now once you go beyond your genetic potential, things change. This is a heck of a game to figure out wat works best for each of us. I know some will disagree with my beliefs & thats cool bro's, just throwin my thoughts out there. If you can run a cycle & keep a lot of your gains then you're doing great. I couldnt & got tired of the ups & downs. I hope everyone has awesome cycles, grows a lot & best wishes & good health to us all! "Living Well Is The Best Revenge"

Noone ever said that keeping your gains would be easy... I sacrifice A LOT of things in my life to keep my gains but I do keep them and I add to them and have continued to do so... So please do not make it sound like it is impossible because that is far from the truth... It may have been hard for you but that does not make it impossible...

Props to you D, your hard work shows. My intent wasnt to discourage anyone, just sharing my experiences, which have been tough in regards to retaining gains. I may have been doing something wrong in my pct & off cycle time. Who knows. Im still learning & hope to continue to learn. Its all good :). Best of luck to you. HD.

so as far too keeping gains excellent PCT and training and diet regimes will keep gains made.

Dylangemelli mentioned running sarms to not only keep but to add to the gains

if your levels returned to normal and you continued your training and diet naturally without cycling again could you still biuld upon what you gained on your cycle or would this just maintain what you have already ?

I was wondering if you can still gain and build muscle naturally at a reasonable rate on top of your cycle gains, without doing another cycle? Or would you need the sarms to make this happen ?

I imagine this might depend on how many cycles and dosages and how big you are (genetic potential). I know people should wait till they are stuck but some wil and do use aas earlier
cheers nick

Yeh bro, thanks for sharing your experience! You are a perfect example of "genetic potential" At 6'3" and 265-268, you would more than likely be at your genetic potential unless you were a complete fat ass, which I'm sure you are not. Once you stop using Gear your body will return to that 264-268 lb range without it over time. You can stay at 287 now because you stay on

Once someone reaches their genetic potential they have a decision to make. Stay on AAS and run higher and higher doses to continue to get bigger, or be content with your genetic potential and stay natty. This is why the big pros are cruising with a gram of test or more each week and blasting with as much as 3-5g a week. That is what it takes for someone like Ronnie Coleman or Jay Cutler. There is no point in cycling anymore once you reach genetic potential.

So at 29yrs old 6'0 @180 is as good as its going to get for me unless I stay on or keep bridging ect..?

my view is if you cycle off and on throughout the year properly and you look back a year and you are ahead of where you were at overall then you are making good progress.

instead of worrying about how much you 'gain' which is something newbs tend to obsess over. who cares what the scale says.. take a pic in the mirror, set a goal to look leaner and meaner in a year. and go do it. then a year later take another pic. if you improved then you were successful, if you look worse than you need to improve your diet and workouts and do better.

if your goal is to get stronger than the bar doesn't lie. if you bench 300, then a year later bench 330.. that is good steady progress. during that year you might go down due to injury or taking a long break off the sauce, or having to go through a stressful time where you have to take time off the gym etc.

so worry about year over year results, this is like the stock market.. its not gonna go up everyday, there will be corrections, zig zags. but overall its about investing in your body and getting better. no reason for anyone in their teens, 20's, 30's, 40's and EVEN 50's to not continue to improve year by year. yeah you will go through bs in your life, you might even take long periods off of the gym at some point.. who knows. but you should be able through muscle memory make back your losses and continue to improve no matter what
