Will we ever be able to just install the Mac OS X Leorpard on our current PC machines and not have to buy a whole new system to switch over?

^there was a point when that was true... but alas, no longer. Trust me, I was a mac head to the max. My entire industry was dependent on their hardware... things are a changing.

I'll look for a link for you BRR, but in the meantime... let me just clarify.

Mac's os was better for stability, until about march of this yr, when xppro finally started being recognized as a reasonably trustworthy os... then people said, osx is faster!

wrong again, there are tests all over the internet where people have run osx and windows on the same machine, direct boot, not virtual pc, and rendered several different file types in different applications. Well.. this time around the pc beat osx on EVERY test, even video rendering. the powerpc was a fantastic chip. I have a g5 box that I will continue to use for awhile, but my core2duo dell xps700 now cleans the floor with the dual g5 box.. =/, fairly similarly "rated" ghz too.
