I was outside yesterday, from around 8am until 2 in the afternoon. It was 9 degrees out, but i was wearing ski boots, jeans, long sleeve shirt, hooded sweatshirt, and a long down coat. plus scarf, two hoods, and gloves. still, it was beyond cold out. I finally went inside at 2pm and couldn't warm up. It was apparently hot in my office, but i kept my coat on. Then i went home and just lied in front of the fireplace trying to warm up. I went to sleep at 7pm, shivering and finally took some tylenol at 9, which helped.

I had a low temp of 97.4 - 97.6

did i have hypothermia or am i just a wuss?

97.4 - 97.6

Um I have to ask. Was this rectal temp? Or was it axillary, oral,or one of them new things they stink in the ear or drag across your head?

What was you lied about? Making the sexuals with your neighbor?

This is not an easy grammatical fix. ...i went home and just lay in front of the fireplace? layed? laid?

layed?

My neighbor is an overweight 45 year old woman with braces, bleached blond hair, black roots, and big sloppy boobs that haven't seen a bra in years.

I ain't making sexuals with that.

i got a flu shot, so it's not that.
walking pneumonia would have other symptoms like a cough or chest congestion and I don't have that.
I'm still a little chilly and i'm usually way warmer than everyone else.

You makin fun of the old people with braces? Sniffle.

I would guess it is "lay in front of the fireplace" BUT, I like the sound of "got laid in front of the fireplace" better.

No, it is not hypothermia. It is your body getting shocked from the cold due to being outside in the cold for such a prolonged period of time your body had adjusted to that temperature. Where as when you finally went in and tried to get warm your body then had to register to that temp. It is normal. I was also cold and I was only outside for a short amount of time, nothing too long. Still to this very moment I am cold and my hands and feet are like little ice cubes.
Normal oral temp is 98.4 so you were not too far off from what the norm is. Now if you were cold all day long with no comfort at all and your body temp went very low then you would have had an issue.
Typically with hypothermia you would not only be cold, shivering excessively, but your hands would be numb therefor concluding that you would not be able to do much with them, and breathing becomes shallowed. Your body temp has to drop so low that it affects your metabolism and also your bodily functions.
So like I said you were prolonged too long to the cold and your homeostasis got all messed up and got adjusted to that temp instead of the warmer temp. thus causing the shivering and the inablilty to get warm..No need to worry, just next time try not to stay outside too long!!! And by golly woman, didn't your mom and grandma tell you to never wear a coat inside, now you will get a cold..LOL (no not really)

You weren't dressed right. You started getting Hypothermia. You would have warmed up much faster getting laid in front of the fireplace instead of lying in front of it. You need help as you seem to be doing a lot wrong, and need to do some right. How 'bout right now?

Simply getting a flu shot doesn't mean you are immune to the flu. It means that you are immune to the specific strain that they extrapolated would be the leading strain to proliferate this flu season.

You could have a less prolific strain of the flu or just a common cold.
