Why The Fuck Does No One Know How To Squat

Not A Single Person In Penn State Can Squat Correctly. Every Fucking Person Goes Like 40 Degrees. Pathetic.

Dont Even Get Me Started On How I Couldn't Use The Oly Lift Station With The Bumpers to deadlift Becuz Some Douche Was Curling Only The 45lb Bar And Throwing His Whole Fukcing Back Into It!

*edit damn caps lock doesn;'t work here :(

Like anybody would listen. Nobody cares to change what they've been doing for years and years because everybody else does it so it must be right. I'm the ONLY person in my gym that squats below parallel, and many people tell me i'm doing it wrong and that it's bad for the knees and that they know how to since they've had years and years of practice at it. And besides, what's a 16 year old high schooler know??? lol it's really sad. Especially when you give them solid proof of why squatting below parallel is all the much better than above parallel. But oh well, all that matters is you tried to help them and they just want go fuck themselves up and set up for failure. :verygood:

Do what I'm going to do to the Old Hag that farted on me at the gym twice, but to the people that do Curls in the Squat Rack.

Ask to work in and on one of your ATF Squats, after 3 days of eating a dozen eggs a day, let one rip. Soon when people see you head to the Squat Rack they'll clear out and learn to Dead Lift those heavy 45 pound bars up.

I've never really seen anyone with a good squat who wasn't taught properly by a coach.

On top of that, it's hard to find a coach who doesn't teach his kids to do some sort of bastard half squat to parallel that looks like a cross between a powerlifting squat and an olympic lifting (weightlifting) squat.

Furthermore, if you type "how to squat" into google, you get pages teaching more crappy form squats.

It's just not a squat friendly world :(

I predict in the future, squats and deadlifts will be banned from nearly all commercial gyms.

was a stupid thread

squatting is a learned task...were you born knowing how to walk...get over yourself!

no, and squatting isn't something people randomly do. Your told to squat because its a good excercise. It pisses me off that thousands and thousands of people squat wrong and no one knows what the fuck to do.

yes i squat correctly and no i didn't always. But i dont walk around teaching other people how to do things that i dont know how to do.

Its not the peoples ignorance that pisses me off. Its that i see those same ignorant people teaching thier friends to squat and they look so terrible its unbelievable.

By the way i show any person in my gym who is willing to listen what to do, or at least say...... you really need to go further down. but im not teaching all 50 thousand people at penn state

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. This guy at my gym I worked out with sometimes started out right (ass to grass and touching chest on bench) and then the personal trainer came over and told him not to do it like that because he will get hurt. Then personal trainer said going below parallel on squat will hurt your knees and going past 90 on bench will give you shoulder problems. He even convinced me for awhile about the bench thing and that actually led to tearing my rotary. This guy(not the trainer) was rather strong to, weighing in at 132 lbs. with 3% bf. He benched 260 and squatted 300+. Who knows where that guys at now probly with worse problems or just went no where.

it's funny how i'm the only guy squatting below parallel in my gym, but no matter what, no one has ever tried to "teach" me... i wonder why? i just feel so left out and neglected ;)
