Why isn't there a black Santa?

We have all seen the pictures and paintings of a black Jesus before, but why never a black Santa?

And no cracks about a black man coming in your house in the middle of the night to LEAVE you something.

You might easily argue for a dark-skinned Jesus.........due to the part of the world he was from. On the other hand Santa is based on St. Nick........a european so most likely white.

I work for a Child Welfare Agency and every year we have a Xmas party for our clients (98% African American) and we always have a African American co-worker dress up like Santa and give the kids gifts. One year, a little black boy sat on Santa;s lap, looked him in the face and said "Hey, you ain't the real Santa, cuz Santa ain't Black" LOL

How do I start?

When the Christmas season started, some of my neighbors put up the lights and decorations. One house put out a small nativity scene out front.

One day, as I was walking by, I noticed that the three wise men were black, as was baby Jesus. No problem there.

The problem I had with it was this: The owners had wrapped up all three figures in Christmas lights, so they all looked bound up.

I guess the theme for this Christmas is: Three wise men held down in oppression by The Man.

If the homeowners only knew the statement they made.
