Why is this place in a constant state of EF nostalgia?

Every once in a while someone posts about how EF used to be very entertaining but has been boring lately. This was one of the first things i read on here, read it somewhere in the middle and just read it too

Either things have consistently only gone down and down for some years, or this is some kind of illusion
